A fatal error occurred while updating your device software
Fortunately, there is a solution to this problem, and if you want to get your device updated to i OS 9.0.1, you can still do it by connecting to your Mac, opening i Tunes and waiting for the alert saying that "A new i Phone software version (9.0.1) is available." Once this alert appears, you just have to click on the "Download and Update" button, and your device should be automatically upgraded to i OS 9.0.1.
If you experience the “connect to i Tunes” problem, i OS 10 update has failed and you will need to use i Tunes to fix the issue.
Upon connecting the bricked device to i Tunes, you may encounter the following message alert: “There is a problem with the i Phone “(Device Name)” that requires it to be updated or restored.
The problem may be fixed by updating your i Phone, which preserves your settings and content.
